Trailer Tuesdays: The Fall

For this week's Trailer Tuesday, let's take a look back...

Released in 2008, The Fall is a stunning film from the mind of director Tarsem, the story of a Los Angeles hospital in the 1920s in which Roy Walker, an injured Hollywood stuntman, befriends a little girl and tells her an epic tale full of mythic heroes and dastardly villains. Though originally created as a ploy to convince the girl to steal morphine for him, the story soon engrosses both characters as their bond strengthens. Starring the incredible Lee Pace (seriously - how is he not an A-list star?!), the fantastical world of The Fall is beyond visually captivating - it is a work of art. Equally as captivating is the movie's trailer, which is almost a short film all its own:

The breathtaking imagery from the film and Beethoven’s regal and emotional "Symphony No. 7 in A major" is the perfect combination and immediately pulls the audience into the world of Roy's story. I had this trailer on constant replay until finally seeing the movie, and the images from it have continued to stick with me since.
