A Farewell to Lone Star

In like a lion, out like a lamb.

So will read the tombstone of Lone Star, a show that was praised by critics as the best of the new crop this fall season. According to's Michael Ausiello, FOX has just made the decision to cancel the series after only two episodes due to more-than-disappointing ratings.

Trailer Tuesdays: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1

After seven books (plus countless spin-offs), six movies and endless anticipation, the Harry Potter saga is nearing conclusion. Last week, Warner Bros. released a new trailer for Part 1 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and it made the wait well worth it.

Magical Monday Moments: Penny Can

Despite its rocky start last fall, Cougar Town has quickly become one of my favorite TV comedies. From the hilarious antics of Bobby and Andy to the rivalry of Laurie and Ellie and the songs by Grayson that are forever stuck in my head, I am an avid fan and was beyond thrilled when the Season 2 premiere finally aired last week (for the best moments of the episode, click here).

So when I found this lovely gem, and this week's Magical Monday Moment, you can imagine my joy...

Project Runway, Season 8 - Episode 9

After last week's disaster of a challenge, it was time to pick up the pieces and get back to work in Project Runway land. There were more than a few fumbles and the emergence of a definite front runner. Let's get to it...

Many thanks to for reminding me what I should be doing in anticipation for tonight's The Big Bang Theory Season 4 premiere...

Family Jules: The Old Wagon and All Mixed Up

Last night, ABC premiered the sophomore seasons of two of TV's best comedies: the Emmy award-winning Modern Family and the red wine obsessed Cougar Town. In celebration, I am launching a new weekly post called Family Jules that will recap the best and most hilarious moments from the previous night's episodes. Let's get started...

Trailer Tuesdays: Razzle Dazzle: A Journey Into Dance

Okay, dearest readers. In a final Glee buildup post, I really want to find something for this week's Trailer Tuesday full of the same spectacular wit, pizzaz and pageantry that the upcoming sophomore season at McKinley High promises to offer. And instead of looking forward (the only option would've been the already used Burlesque), I'm taking a look back at a hilariously wonderful movie from Down Under.

Glee: S-A-F-E-T-Why Such Sad Material?

In anticipation of tonight's Glee premiere, guest writer Andrea Squitieri visits us from her normal stomping grounds at Bubbles & Banjos to speak on behalf of wheelchair-bound Artie, played by actor and former NLT boybander Kevin McHale.

Magical Monday Moments: Glee Interactive Video Game

As you may have read on here before (like here or here or here), I'm kind of a big Gleek. I know - big surprise. And you may or may not have read that I'm getting really excited for tomorrow night's Glee Season 2 premiere. So imagine my delight upon discovering the following gem (and this week's Magical Monday Moment) thanks to the folks at Vulture:

Project Runway, Season 8 - Episode 8

After three weeks of insane runway breakdowns, bridesmaid transformations, yacht rides and Tim Gunn lashings (and one giant mega review from yours truly), we were bound to hit a disappointing episode of Project Runway along the way, right? Unfortunately, the pristine image of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis had to be dragged through to mud because of it.

Let's get down to the nitty gritty...

The Apprentice Premieres Tonight

After three seasons of overstuffed celebrity editions (though how could you not love watching Cyndi Lauper's craziness every week), The Apprentice returns tonight for its 10th season. And in addition to boardroom drama, Trump-ian comb overs and never-ending product placement, this season comes with a special and sure-to-be-emotional theme.

Fall 2010 TV Lineup

After a summer full of fist pumps, bloodsuckers, hair-pulling housewives and dancing divas - it's time for fall season premieres! With The Apprentice starting tomorrow night, it's time to get my DVR prepped and ready to go. I have a busy TV schedule this year (watch out Thursdays) and there are a few shows that are being added to the roster.

Christina Perri - Jar of Hearts Music Video

It's a story you might never believe if you didn't know how amazingly true it is. Christina Perri was just a struggling musician in Los Angeles working as a waitress when choreographer Stacey Tookey fell in love with her demo, an emotional ballad called "Jar of Hearts." The song was recorded and used on So You Think You Can Dance, after which it sold over 100,000 copies on iTunes in less than a month. Soon came a record deal, late-night talk show appearances and, now, a music video.

Trailer Tuesdays: Clueless

It's been a while since we've done a Flashback Trailer Tuesday, so here's an homage to a movie that will one day be at the forefront of all anthropological studies of the 1990s: Clueless.

Magical Monday Moments: Dancing Baby Panda

Sometimes the weekly Magical Monday Moment is poignant (like When I Knew), sometimes it is a grand spectacle (like Jimmy Fallon's Glee-ful Emmy performance), and sometimes... it's just plain ol' magical.

Project Runway, Season 8 - Episodes 5, 6 and 7

Good lord, everybody, we have a lot to catch up on! I have been just terrible at keeping up with these Project Runway reviews and there has certainly been a lot to review these past few weeks in the land of "Make It Work." Epic battles, insane challenges and one pissed off Mr. Tim Gunn.

There is obviously much to cover and you know I am chock full of opinions, so let's get going...

Sneak Peek at Glee Season 2

The Labor Day holiday and my crazy "real world" life meant no Magical Monday Moment or Trailer Tuesday this week, so to make up for it I'm combining them both into one big "Thrilling and Magical Trailer Thursday." Okay, it's a stretch, but I promise you it's worth it.
