Trailer Tuesdays: Clueless

It's been a while since we've done a Flashback Trailer Tuesday, so here's an homage to a movie that will one day be at the forefront of all anthropological studies of the 1990s: Clueless.

Released in 1995, Clueless is chock full of classic 90s lines ("Cher, I don't want to do this anymore. And my buns: they don't feel nothin' like steel."), 90s soundbites ("As if!"), 90s dance moves (rollin' with the homies, anyone?) and ridiculous 90s wardrobe. Starring Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Brittany Murphy (RIP), Paul Rudd, Donald Faison and Breckin Meyer, among so many others, it's a movie I can watch again and again and again.

So how does the trailer for this classic hold up?

It definitely shows off the campiness and pretty much beats you over the head with the fact that these girls are "clueless." It's odd to see a trailer show full portions of scene like they did here with Cher's speech about the Hatians and big twists like [spoiler alert] Cher and Josh making out on the stairs at the end. Still, I can't help but want to rush home and pop in the movie immediately.

And in conclusion may I please remind you it does not say R.S.V.P. on the Statue of Liberty. Thank you very much.
