Magical Monday Moments: Glee Inspires Political Ad

I am not one to often enter into heated political discourse (though it does happen on occasion), and this post is by no means meant to begin a political debate. That being said, it's pretty clear that I'm an enormous Gleek, so I just couldn't pass on posting this video for this week's Magical Monday Moment.

I love when a show has a consistent and unique way of bringing the audience up to date before an episode. Some great examples are the terrifying booming male voice saying "Previously on Lost," the hilarious "next on..." segment at the end of Arrested Development and, of course, "So here's what you missed on Glee."

Pat Quinn, current governor of Illinois (and the man who replaced Rod Blagojevich in 2009), posted the following ad last Friday to get voters (who have supposedly been too immersed in Glee to pay attention to politics) caught up on the governor's race.

Regardless of your political views, it's a pretty clever idea, no?
