Holiday Pop, Day 10: Segel and Black Rock a Christmas Mashup


As any Gleek can tell you, there's nothing like a good mashup. But don't think that New Directions invented the genre. For today's Holiday Pop, let's take a look at a classic holiday mashup recreated by two of today's comedy giants.

"Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth" was originally recorded in 1977 by Bing Crosby and David Bowie (what an odd pairing). This year, Jason Segel and Jack Black recorded an updated rock version and are donating proceeds to Blue Star Families, a non-profit that supports military families.

And thanks to the folks at College Humor, we can watch animated Jason and Jack belt out the song, complete with guitar-wielding, sled-riding Christmas angels. Check it out, then fetch me a sprig of ginger (just for the smell):
