Holiday Pop, Day 9: Season's Greetings from Emma Watson

Now that Hanukkah has ended, it's time to put away the menorah and get out the jingle bells. Actually, I'll be keeping my menorah out because it's particularly pretty, but I'll be focusing these daily Holiday Pop posts on Christmas.

It's certainly been a big year for Emma Watson. Well, make that ten years. From being an unknown English girl to star of the movies of one of the world's most beloved franchises, we have all watched Emma grow into a beautiful young woman. Hermione Granger was always one of my favorite Harry Potter characters (and will probably stand the test of time as one of the great literary characters of our time) and Emma brought her to the silver screen with incredible poise and grace.

With filming complete on the last Potter movie (the second part is out in July), Emma is expanding her horizons in movies, fashion and, yes, her education at Brown University. But she took a quick break from her busy schedule to send out a Christmas message to her fans, complete with her fantastic new pixie haircut:

The video was accompanied by the following letter:
Hi everyone,

Well, I think it's safe to say this has been a pretty busy year for me!

On the work front, I designed an organic clothing collection with Alberta Ferretti due out next Spring, a fair trade range for People Tree also due to be released in the Spring, fronted the Burberry Spring/Summer 2010 campaign, had my first British Vogue cover, filmed a small part in My Week With Marilyn alongside Michelle Williams and Eddie Redmayne and, of course, filming finished on the very last Harry Potter film!

I also completed my first year at Brown and began my second year this September. I am so glad I made the decision to go to university there - it continues to be an amazing experience and I have made so many great friends. Oh, and I had a haircut, you might have read about it...!

I just wanted to send you all a quick message to say Merry Christmas. I continue to be overwhelmed by the love and support you all give to me. I really do appreciate it. So wherever you are this December, I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and wish you a wonderful New Year.

Love Emma xx
How can you not love her?! Merry Christmas, Emma!
