Nothing like some good news to start the weekend, right?
It's been almost five months since the Season 8 finale of Project Runway aired, sending us all into a tizzy over [spoiler alert] Mondo's unbelievable defeat at the hands of Gretchen. Since that fateful day we've heard nary a peep out of the folks at Lifetime or Bunim-Murray about the show's next season, though there have been rumors flying around about the development of spin-off shows such as Project Runway: Masters and Project Runway: Accessories.
But, as Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell said, ain't nothing like the real thing, baby, and now we have a reason to rejoice: Bunim-Murray has begun casting for Project Runway Season 9.
The details from Bunim-Murray's website are below:

So if casting calls begin in late April, we're probably looking at an August premiere with the contestants will be showing at Fashion Week in September. Yes, this probably means the decoy collection practice will probably return (last year the Top 10 all showed collections so we wouldn't know who made it), but at least we know the show is returning!
Are you excited about Project Runway's return or are you still befuddled about the outcome of Season 8? And if any of you dear readers decide to audition for the show: good luck and make it work!
