We already know he can pull off a pair of DILF Khakis—really well, I might add—but now actor James Van Der Beek is back with a new exciting pant option: Beek Jeans.

You can't stop an avalanche as it races down the hill
You can try to stop the seasons, girl, but you know you never will
Destiny is a force to be reckoned with, dear readers, and there's no clearer example of that than this whole circus called Project Runway All Stars. Oof... that comes off looking insanely jaded and bitter, I know, but I promise that ultimately I'm much happier with the way this all panned out versus the last two seasons of Runway.
So before I dig myself a bigger hole, I should probably just get to reviewing the finale...

After shocking auf's, mental breakdowns, and more history-marking than Joanna Coles can shake a bra at, Project Runway All Stars will air its finale tonight at 9/8c on Lifetime. The fine field of competitors have been whittled down to three: Austin Scarlett, Mondo Guerra and Michael Costello. And though the winner may seem rather obvious, I've learned to stop trusting my gut when it comes to Project Runway. Just ask Gretchen Jones and Anya Ayoung-Chee... anything can happen on this show!
So before the finale begins, here's a quick rundown of my thoughts on each of the remaining designers and their chances at being crowned the All Stars champion tonight!
Naturally, the end of my Happy Family Jules hiatus coincided perfectly with the beginning of Modern Family's three-week break. So although we won't hear from the Prichett-Dunphy-Tucker-Delgado clan until mid-April, there's plenty to discuss after this week's installments of Cougar Town and Happy Endings.
Let's get right to the reviews, coming up after the jump...

For over a year now, there's been chatter and buzz about another prequel to the popular (and unbelievably amazing) Battlestar Galactica series. Originally conceived as a two-hour web series, Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome was then rumored to be produced as a pilot for an entire new SyFy series. Last fall, news broke that the series had once again returned to web series status, but updates have been few and far between since then. All we really know is that the series, in whatever form is takes, will focus on a young Bill Adama fighting in the First Cylon War on the then-new Galactica. Frakking awesome.
Now, one day after the three-year anniversary of BSG's series finale, a trailer for Blood & Chrome that recently debuted at WonderCon has hit the interwebz. And though not much is revealed about the story, it sure is pretty to look at. Take a look after the jump...
First of all... I know. It's been almost three full weeks without a peep from me around these parts. Chalk it up to some post-Oscars fatigue, but rest assured that I'm back on the block and ready to rock. Pinky swear.
Last May, I started talking about a new NBC sitcom called Bent. Starring Amanda Peet—Jack & Jill, anyone?—as recent divorcee Alex and Perfect Couples' David Walton as her new contractor/sure-to-be romantic interest
Fast forward 10 months and NBC is finally bringing Bent to primetime, with the series premiere airing tonight at 9/8c. All reviews leading up to tonight's premiere highlight the mix of humor and heart in the show, which is right up my alley (and anyone else who loves comedies like Parks and Recreation or Cougar Town). The show takes its title from the life motto of Pete's father (played by Arrested Development alum Jeffrey Tambor), "Bent not broken." The characters aren't perfect, but they're not giving up either.

I had so many fun title ideas for this one, so I'll just start off by listing some that didn't make the final cut:
- Project Runway All Stars, Episode 9: Ray of Light
- Project Runway All Stars, Episode 9: Kill the Lights
- Project Runway All Stars, Episode 9: Thursday Night Lights
- Project Runway All Stars, Episode 9: Flashing Lights
- Project Runway All Stars, Episode 9: Step Toward the Light
- Project Runway All Stars, Episode 9: Teletubbies at Comic-Con
And now, instead of reflecting on what that list says about my life, let's take a look at last night's deLIGHTful (ugh) episode...
Today, The Lorax opens in theaters nationwide. In addition to my love of the Suessian tale on which the movie is based, I'm also excited to see the movie because it's coming from the amazing minds of the folks who brought us Despicable Me, one of my favorite movies of 2010. So imagine my delight and jubilation yesterday when I saw a teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel to that animated gem, Despicable Me 2!
Now, when I say "upcoming," I mean it's actually not coming out for almost a year and a half. But with any luck, teasers like this one, which features the Minions singing their rendition of the Beach Boys classic hit "Barbara Ann," will continue to pop up until the 2013 release date.
Keep going after the jump to see the Minions sing-along and get pumped for Despicable Me 2...

There's one last piece of housekeeping we must attend to before bidding the 2012 Oscar season a final adieu. For the second year in a row, I hosted an Oscar prediction contest here on the site. And, for the second year in a row, there was an overwhelming response from some very clever Oscar predictors. However, there can only be one victor and, thankfully, we had a surprise victory out of Ms. Meryl Streep to shake things up and separate the pack a bit.
So who is this year's Oscar prediction champion and winner of a 2012 Oscar-winning film on DVD? Continue after the jump so we can all wish a hearty ConDRAGulations to....
